Eating & Drinking, Marrying & Giving in Marriage

37."But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark." Matt 24:37-38

Those of us in the wedding industry can take heart that the Lord Himself indicated weddings will still be happening when He returns. Nevertheless, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic it's easy to doubt if our livelyhood will ever be the same. Couples who were scheduled to celebrate in April or May are postponing till dates later this summer or fall. Which means that couples who might have wanted to schedule a fall wedding might be delayed till winter or next spring. What about all those DJ'S, photographers, cake bakers and caterers who have now had almost a month to shelter in place and get caught up on personal projects, but very little work is happening in their areas of expertise? Still, Be of good cheer! Weddings are not going away.

I don't know what the wedding industry will look like in the months or years to come but if your faith is in Jesus Christ, look up. Don't be fearful from the news media and bad reports. Pull out your Bible and start reading it again, or more. Spend some time in honest prayer. Bring up some good worship music and enter into His spiritual presence. And when we start the wheels of work back into motion, let's keep our new level of faith moving forward as well.

Thanks for stopping by!
